The 12^thSFLEP National Foreign Language Teaching Contest (Group of Foreign Language Majors) sponsored by Chongqing Municipal Education Commission came to an end on October 16. Two faculty members from the school of foreign languages received good results in the competition. Ms. Xu Yi won the second prize in the English major category, and Mr. Qin Chuan won the third prize in the Business English major category.

It is reported that “SFLEP National Foreign Language Teaching Contest” is jointly organized by the Advisory Board of Foreign Language and Literature Teaching in higher education under the ministry of education, the Committee of Foreign Language Teaching in Vocational Colleges and Universities, and Shanghai Foreign Language Education Press, with an aim to build a national competition platform to improve the quality of foreign language teaching and the level of foreign language education, promote the construction of foreign language teachers in higher institutions, facilitate teachers' development, deepen teaching reform, and explore methods for the establishment of a foreign language teaching system with Chinese characteristics.
