Recently, China Scholarship Council announced the enrollment list of the "Special Project For Talent Training In The Western Region" in 2021. Nine teachers of our university were selected, ranking the first among universities in Chongqing. Among them, five were from the Chongqing Smart Oil and Gas Field Innovation Team Construction Project, a CQUST-based "Local Innovation Sub-project of the Special Project for Talent Training in Western Region". The project was the only project in Chongqing approved by China Scholarship Council in 2019. It aims to cultivate innovative-minded inter-disciplinary talents with international outlooks to serve China’s national strategies, meet the needs of local economic development, promote the development of first-class disciplines.
