In the 2020 ARC Cup International Welding Competition, which ended in December 19th, 5 CQUST teams led by Su Zilong, Xu Yonggeng, Ling Deying, Liu Yikai and Wang Jingwen, members of the advanced welding and micro connection project teams were awarded two first prizes , two second prizes, and one third prize. The competition is held once a year, and is the largest international welding competition in China.

The competition was held in Shenyang from December 15 to 19, with 39 teams and more than 300 contestants from China, Mongolia, Cameroon, Bulgaria and other countries.
